THE MACLEAN INVITATIONAL

This is an invite-only experience, modeled after NHL development camps, designed for selected PEI players with the potential to continue progressing in the game.

Led by Clark MacLean and The MacLean Group, and built in partnership with Doug MacLean.

Doug MacLean is one of the most accomplished figures in hockey to come from Prince Edward Island, with a career that has spanned coaching, management, and broadcasting at the NHL level.

From his beginnings on PEI, Doug built a path to the highest levels of the game, serving as a head coach, general manager, and president in the NHL. His career includes coaching in both the 1996 and 1997 NHL All-Star Games, as well as reaching the 1996 Stanley Cup Final with the Florida Panthers.

But what makes his impact truly meaningful is his connection to the Island.

Doug has always taken pride in where he came from, and his journey continues to serve as an example for young players across PEI—demonstrating what is possible through work ethic, knowledge, and a commitment to the game.

The Doug MacLean Invitational is built on that foundation.

This event is designed to bring together PEI’s next generation of players and connect them with the experience, standards, and perspective of those who have come before them.

Through on-ice development, mentorship, and shared experiences, players are exposed to what it takes to advance in the game—while continuing to build on the strong hockey tradition that exists on the Island.

This is more than a camp.
It is an opportunity to be part of PEI’s hockey tradition—and to help carry it forward.
